Registered cover franked with 1939 1ch perf. 12½, 3ch perf. 11 and two copies of '8 CASH' on 6ca with error 'CAS' raised giving the illusion of a curved surcharge. This is the first such example we have seen in 40 years. 2025 ISES certificate.

30 March 1950 cover franked on reverse with 1950 3p black & blackish green surcharged 'POSTAGE & REVENUE / ONE ANNA' corner marginal copy tied by 30 March 1950 cds. This is the last day of use as the United States of Saurashtra postal service was incorporated into that of India on 30 March 1950. An important item of Soruth postal history.
1938 registered cover with boxed registration strike on front franked on reverse with 1935 1a myrtle-green & purple + 4a deep reddish purple & sage-green both tied 'TIKAMGARH / ORCHA STATE / 16 AP 38' cds with 'SATARA / ORCHA STATE / 17 AP 38' delivery cds. Note after SG 30 reads "Owing to the lack of proper State control considerable quantities of these stamps were circulated at below face value and the issue was subsequently withdrawn, supplies being exchanged for the 1939-1942 issue. We are, however, now satisfied that the lower values at least did genuine postal duty until 1939. Used prices are for stamps cancelled to order, postally used examples being worth considerably more." 1890 cover from Kashmir to Allahabad franked with a 'Postal Forgery' of the 1883-94 ½a orange-red additionally franked with India ½a blue-green both tied by 'L' in circle of bars with 'KASHMIR / 16 AP 90' cds and 'ALLAHABAD / AP 22 / 90' delivery cds. 2010 ISES certificate.
