Local cover from Kishangarh to Arain franked with1900 ¼a lilac imperforate cancelled by 'KISHANGARH / RAJ.P.O.' double circle cancel with 'FE 8 / 1900' in red manuscript with 'ARAIN / RAJ.P.O' and manuscript '8-2-1900' delivery cancel. This is the first example we have seen of this stamp on cover. 2025 ISES certificate.
1944 registered cover with boxed registration strike on obverse franked on reverse with 1939-42 1a scarlet horizontal strip of five all tied by 'TIKAMGARH / ORCHA STATE / 12 OC 44' cds
Bhavnagar 1a Court Fee stamp overprinted 'SAURASHTRA' without 'U.S.S. POSTAGE & REVENUE' used on cover tied by intaglio cancel in red with horseshoe 'S.P.O. / NOT PAID / JUNAGADH' strike with manuscript '0-2-0' to indicate that postage due of 2 annas was to be collected from the addressee. This cover was an attempt by the sender to use a revenue stamp to prepay postage charges. This was not allowed and the letter was charged postage due calculated at twice the deficiency of 1 anna. 1930 ½a pale ultramarine overprinted 'SERVICE' in red two vertical strips of four on local cover with a superb strike of the rare octagon Kar Sarkar / Raj Sawai Jaipur dated 6 Dec 29 in red. Note that this cover is dated well before the issue date of 23.2.30 listed in Stanley Gibbons catalog. 2025 ISES certificate.
