The Essay's central design is the portrait of the ruler with “RAJPIPLA POSGE” and “1 ANNA” below it. These were never put into production as, shortly after the essays were produced, the State’s general and postal administration was taken over by the Imperial Government. The stamp is lithographed on unwatermarked wove paper perf. 11.5. “SPECIMEN” in green ink is printed diagonally on the back.
